Game of the week An unusual one this week, a Japanese game, Fushigi no Dungeon - Furai no Shiren 2 (J) - Nemu Basically this is a dungeon crawl game, the first thing to point out is it does not really matter whether you can read Japanese or not, it does not stop you getting enjoyment from this game. The story line is Shiren, your wandering character, enters a village and befriends the denizens. A short time passes and a horde of demons passes through the same way, disrupting life and causing strife. Their intention is to lay the village to waste.
Basically, explore your world, collect the treasures and weapons, anything that moves, bash it over the head with a stick until it stops moving The graphics in this game are superb, beautifully detailed and effective, as you visit different world you meet more and more challenging monsters, there is not the frantic button pushing of gauntlet but there is still plenty of action here to be had. If you get killed you return to level one experience so you have to use some stratergy with this game rather than just jump in all guns blazing Fantastic!
Desmond Gaban's video game reviews ranked the game at 9/10, and said about it that it 'offers deceptively simple and addictive gameplay, as well as having almost endless replay value.. you can read the full review here
